Welcome to AEROSMITHIE~SMITHAERO!

The name AeroSmithie, AeroSmite, SmithAero, AeroSmith were all used as the fellows went to different venues while honing the style of the music and crafting a dialog of joy.

John Nelson Smithie, my father, was the lead vocalist with a splash of rhythm of a man rhythm so bass or guitar. Yosef Geoff, lead guitar and sang backup on any occasion. With their writing and instrumental placement and my help with putting the music together by adding tempos, pitch and timing. Cadence which is also important, so I assisted in helping the song be cohease.

Yos brought his brother, Stievu who was learning bass which he picked up fairly quickly and was quite good at picking up where he loft off. We didn’t have a drum so if Stievu was not alone I was able to keep the time by using a tapping method on the table top right in front of the bandstand. Imagine for a moment the 7 year old Carlyse used a knukle wrap not a pair of drum sticks to count them in.

There have been some errors in the history of music which often times are a creative license to hid a person or a group of person from the public and private persona. The popular band known as AeroSmith today, is the off shoot of the original band we three create then added others as we were able to find the instruments and instrument players who were an asset to the music we were create. This was around circa 1968-69 for the formation and beginnings of the band. Most venues were parties and weddings, the bar band circuit was not as prevalent to this era & band from Stroud, Oklahoma. In the midst of the bands upbringing around 1970-71 give or take, John went to Vietnam for a third time. my Army-Marine Major Domo and Field Scout, was injured in the line of duty by a stray bullet which pierced his wrist and sent him home a bit tattered. The band played on with Tiyu, Yos Geof brother, Stievu became the full time bass player and asked Carlyse to assist him in learning to sing. He had a very flat almost monotone voice, though his Queens, New York & Jersey Shore accent gave he an interesting sound. This is the type of assist I do with vocals is weave and train the mouth, larynx to sound like the music. Carlysa was a vocal assist for the OKC Corral of Musician.Several places around the world have had a tutoring role in bringing the band, instrument and vocals together to form their expanding repertoire and bring about growth and simple or spectacular change. Comedians, actors and other talent filled person came to visit with the folks at the home of Credence Clearwater Revival also known as CCR.

Come back and read more, find a story, a song or maybe information about a tour date. All is going well so enjoy the day and come back often.
